As the idea to start a foundation came to us, we believed that doing so in memory of Terry Betts was the easiest decision that we made. Her impact on our lives was immense and to honor her in this way just felt right. Terry was the network for sanity in our world. Her love for life and her horse, Chasing Windmills, showed through all that she did and we know that she would have been excited to have been a part of TEF.
Amanda has over 30 successful years of showing, teaching, and riding under her belt. As the owner of Boulder Brook Stables since 1994, Amanda combines a deep understanding of the horse with a strong comprehension of each unique horse's needs. In her time as a trainer, Amanda has coached many horse and rider pairs to wins in and out of the show ring and recognizes the value in putting in the time training both the horse and rider to work as a team. She focuses on the individual horse, working with each to achieve the best overall results and is excited to work with the horses in our care to help them find the correct jobs and partners.
Ariana has been riding since she was 4 years old and has progressed from lessons and basic care to showing in multiple disciplines, including western pleasure, gymkhana, jumping, cutting and reining, and mounted shooting. In 2012 she got her first Mustang, Shadow, and has spent the past 8 years becoming a successful team competing in multiple arenas including the Versatile Horse & Rider Competition at Equine Affair. Her passion for the Mustang breed has brought a second gelding into her life and looks forward to showing him in the western dressage and ranch riding circuits. Additionally, she has earned her Bachelors Degree in Equine Management from the University of New Hampshire. Ari is excited to be part of TEF and is looking forward to finding diamonds in the rough and pairing them with their perfect person.
